McVeigh Secures Victory with 41 Points
McVeigh began his round by playing the opening hole to handicap before parring the second and bogeying the third. A par at the fourth was followed by a bogey at the difficult fifth, earning him three Stableford points.
He continued steadily through the remaining four holes, playing each to handicap to reach the halfway stage with an impressive 22 points.
His back nine began with a par at the tenth before he negotiated the difficult eleventh and twelfth holes to handicap. Another par followed at the short par-four thirteenth.

Despite a double bogey at the thirteenth, Dempster finished consistently with a par at the sixteenth and bogeys at the final two holes to secure the runner-up position.
