BAR/RESTAURANT RE-OPENING ARRANGEMENTS
The NI Executive has given permission for bars that serve food to re-open with effect from 3 July 2020…..
The provision of food is to be via table service with alcohol served only when accompanying food. A significant number of members can be accommodated in the lounge with an overflow available in the dining room.
Under the new rules alcohol can be served without food where there is a licensed outdoor area. Again this must be via table service. Our balcony area would appear to fulfil this stipulation but would only accommodate a limited number at the new 1m+ social distancing rule. The maximum number will be displayed and members must not enter this area if the maximum number of people is already there.
It is important to note that our premises are liable to be inspected by the PSNI at any time, therefore strict observance of the rules must be followed to protect our license. Staff will be responsible for monitoring compliance with the rules and have been instructed to close the outside balcony or lounge immediately if any breaches occur. They have also been instructed to report the incident to the Club Council. Non-compliance by either staff or members may result in disciplinary action; therefore, members are requested to have respect for their own safety and that of other members and staff.
Please be patient and follow the rules until further easement is granted.
Anyone displaying any COVID-19 symptoms or feeling unwell must not enter and leave the clubhouse immediately.
Bar and restaurant opening hours will be displayed at clubhouse front and side doors (note times may vary).
There will be a one way system in place: access to upstairs bar/restaurant and balcony area will be via clubhouse and exit will be via balcony steps and rear putting green to the car park.
Hand sanitizer will be provided at top of stairs and must be used before entering bar and also provided at exit to balcony.
All members, guests and visitors must register their entry and time to satisfy contact tracing if necessary.
All customers should wait to be seated by a member of staff and will allocation will depend on numbers in party.
Diners may sit in either the lounge or the restaurant.
Balcony area will be open for use by members only and a gazebo will be erected to protect users from the elements. A maximum number of people using the balcony will be displayed in line with social distancing rules and must be observed at all times.
Members must not hog the limited outside space and may be asked to vacate the balcony area after 2 hours to facilitate other members if maximum numbers are exceeded.
Any customer not dining must move to the outside area immediately.
Full compliance with all signage will be necessary to ensure the safety of members and staff.
All tables and chairs will be sanitized before opening times and after each use.
The tables and seating arrangements have been reconfigured to reflect appropriate social distancing. All tables will be clearly labelled with the maximum numbers to be seated at each table and must not be moved.
There will be table service only – no ordering at bar or restaurant.
Orders will be taken by a member of restaurant/bar staff. Payment by bar card must be provided when order is placed. Bar card number will be keyed in by bar staff and receipt provided when the order is delivered.
Bar card top ups by debit card can be requested via the server and the card machine will be brought to the table. There will be no cash back facilities available.
Toilet facilities will be restricted to a single use basis. Users should use the engaged sign on the outside toilet door.
Gaming machines will not be available for play at this stage.
TV remote controls will be kept behind the bar and operated by staff.
Limited menu available daily and specials displayed on whiteboards.
A new electronic ordering system is now available using a QR Code on each table or order may be placed with a member of staff at the table.
Cutlery and condiments will be delivered to the table with the food.
Contactless or card payment preferred.
Staff will be responsible for monitoring social distancing and maximum numbers rules.
Staff will be responsible for sanitizing tables and chairs etc. before opening and after each use/before re-use.
